Vehicle based trailer sway control is typically programming built into the Vehicle Stabilty Control (VSC) System that attempts to use the vehicle brakes and engine power management to counteract trailer sway. The Tacoma being such a light truck probably wouldn't see much benefit from it but it is there.
Then measure the distance between the two centers of both the sway bar and bottom mount and that will give you the length needed for the link rod. I modified my original link rod by cutting off the ends and welding in a new rod after determining the length with the Plumb Bob method.
I'm installing the RRO leveling kit soon. Specifically I'll need torque values for: -Sway bar end links -Upper control arm -Tie rod end -Lower strut bolt -Upper strut mounting nuts
Anyway I'd like to replace my bolts when replacing my control arms today. They look pretty rusty, and I might have to cut/tap them out if they break. Also wanting to replace the bolts for front sway bar links and steering stabilizer. I need: Upper front axle Lower front axle/frame Rear axle/frame A arm frame Front sway bar links top/bottom Steering stabilizer tie rod clamp

With a sway bar connected the body roll is less because that energy is now transferred to the axles which is a much lower center of gravity. Every car since the late 70's has been built with a sway bar. Do you think the manufacturer's would spend the money to install unneeded parts?
I'm trying to order a poly bushing set from Quadratec, but I don't know what size sway bar my XJ has. They offer it in 23mm, 24mm, 25mm, & 28mm. Is there anyway to tell which mine has by the year & package? I have a '94 Sport 2dr 4x4 w/ an AW4, no ABS. Thank you as always, Craig
